FLAVOURS OF CHANGE ~ IFIELE'ELE PLANTATION

Meet Fogalepolo Lepou (Paul) and Joan Macfarlane; the husband and wife team behind the development of Ifiele'ele Plantation located in Fasito'o-uta, Upolu. Over the last 12 years they have turned 15 acres of family land into a beautiful oasis to run their organic orchard and fruit production business as well as an idyllic bed and breakfast retreat for visitors to enjoy the best Samoa has to offer. Paul and Joan are looking to increase production of their dried fruits snacks without harming the environment by switching to clean energy. With the assistance from the SAFPROM Matching Grant Program, Paul and Joan will be able to acquire solar panels to power their fruit drier as well as their fruit processing room.
